Alberto Portugheis

If you learn one thing about War, Peace, Religion, Politics and Diplomacy when you read Alberto Portugheis' books, it's this: how and why language has been and still is used today, to separate societies, to control and antagonize people, demonstrating how, well educated, talented writers with extensive knowledge of the lexicon, assisted by psychologists and scientists with expertise in mind control', help politicians organise chaos, violence and wars, as they use techniques and strategies to create fear in the population, so that they can offer us 'protection'.

About the Author

Peace activist Alberto Portugheis was born in Argentina but now lives in the UK. Musician by profession - pianist and teacher - he combines his world travels on the concert platform with an active pursuit of Peace.

Having heard since early childhood stories of the horrors of war, Alberto Portugheis became a committed anti-war campaigner, persistently writing and speaking against militarism, weapons and the Arms Trade. At the basis of his vision is a world free of war.

Alberto Portugheis' stance against armies and wars - he calls them 'legal homicides' - has earned him in 2008 a nomination to the Nobel Peace Prize. An outcome of this event resulted in Portugheis publishing his first book, Dear Ahed, The Game of War and a Path to Peace'

The way forward to Peace, Portugheis writes, is to understand that those in power have a vested interest in conflict. He stresses that every human being has a right to a world free from war as inscribed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. He argues that there is no solution to conflict while we continue to accept a militarised world, stressing that weapons for Peace do not exist.  He wants to see the abolition of weapons, and as a consequence, the universal disbanding of all Armed Forces.

In his second book '$$$$$'s In Their Hearts', Portugheis moves further, explaining how greedy and ambitious men and women play with the lives of millions of innocent people simply by promoting military manufacturing, trading and conflicts. This helps the reader understand the absurdity, in the 21st century, of militarism, Armed Forces and wars.

In 2015 Alberto Portugheis founded HUFUD, Humanity United For Universal Demilitarisation (www.hufud.org), with the aim of achieving  a NON-MILITARIZED planet and a world-wide society free from war.

"An amazingly frank and authoritative analysis of problems facing the Middle East and conflict areas in the world. This new book from Alberto Portugheis demonstrates how avaricious finance lies at the heart of the weapons industry and war. It builds on his previous book, 'The Game of War and a Path to Peace', which explains how understanding the way words are used, could, through 'education', create a society that is free from war.' Alberto Portugheis is an international concert pianist and peace campaigner. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in2008."

"Few can replace 'Pinter Politics’ now  the great playwright has died. Pinter's Nobel Speech hammered nail after nail into the Establishment' He  made it clear those interested in power are not interested in truth but in the maintenance of power.

This means people can be left in ignorance through a  ‘vast tapestry of lies upon which we feed’. Fake news is never more evident than in discussion of war and conflict.

With his new book, $$$$'s in Their Hearts, Alberto Portugheis has unfolded paths and financial deals behind wars. As with his earlier book,  Dear Ahed, The Game of War and a Path to Peace, $$$$'s in Their Hearts  attempts to fill the political void with factual information."

$$$$'s IN THEIR HEARTS is a book which needs to be read by all of those interested in the pursuit of peace and who try to understand the reasons we live in such a troubled world.
